Youth Showcased At Annual Beef Show
NORFOLK - Beef animals and the young people who raised them were front and center Sunday during the 63rd annual Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce Beef Expo. Clayton Schmitt of Ulysses led the grand champion market steer through the ring. The grand champion market heifer was shown by Haden Held of Leigh. During the premium auction, the Norfolk Area Chamber Agri-Business Council paid $1000 to both champions. Haden received a trophy from the Elkhorn Valley Bank and Trust, while Clayton's trophy was provided by Battle Creek Farmers Pride. Both boys also received $100 scholarships from Bank First and show bags from Willers Mitten Brand Cattle.
