Winter Storm Watch For Far NEN
NORFOLK - A winter storm watch has been issued for far northeast Nebraska for late tonight through Sunday evening. This includes the cities of Bloomfield, Hartington, Neligh and Pierce. The National Weather Service reports low pressure will deepen over northwest Kansas late tonight and track across southern Nebraska through midday Sunday. This system will even spread rain and few thunderstorms across northeast Nebraska tonight. Freezing rain could develop over the area between midnight and 3 a.m. Sunday and continue through noon or early afternoon Sunday before changing to snow. Snow accumulations are expected to be an inch or two with heavier totals near the South Dakota border.
