Wayne State President Happy With Governor's HIgher Education Proposal
WAYNE - The president of Wayne State College says plans by Governor Dave Heineman to increase aid to state colleges in exchange for a tuition freeze came as a pleasant surprise to him. Curt Frye says the request is part of the governor's vision for higher education in Nebraska. The governor's proposal would increase funding to state colleges by nine percent, and to the University of Nebraska system by 8.6 percent.
