USDA Reports Record Crop
WASHINGTON, D.C. - There is good news for livestock producers regarding today's crop forecasts. U-S Department of Agriculture Chief Economist Joe Glauber says the latest numbers will bring crop prices down to lower levels. Glauber predicts price drops won't be disastrous to grain producers. He says corn will drop about 35% to $4.50 a bushel. He expects a 10% price drop for wheat and 15% for soybeans. Glauber says the crop reports show worldwide record production period for wheat, corn and soybeans.
