Two-Vehicle Accident Injures 2 in Stanton County
NORFOLK - Both drivers involved in a two-vehicle accident were taken to the hospital for treatment following the accident near the junction of Highways 275 and 15 Monday morning. The Stanton County Sheriff’s office investigated the accident northeast of Pilger. Sheriff Mike Unger says a southbound jaguar driven by Melodee Younts, age 63, of Wayne was stopped for traffic at the intersection and was struck from behind by a southbound van driven by Kendal Escalante-Osorio, age 31, of Lincoln. The impact spun the jaguar around onto the raised median and the van ended up in the west ditch. Both drivers were taken to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk by Wisner Fire and Rescue. Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles. Unger says Escalante-Osorio was cited for not having a valid driver’s license.
