Two Drunk Driving Accidents in Norfolk in Two Hours
NORFOLK - Norfolk police investigated two accidents in a two-hour period last night, and both were caused by suspected drunk drivers. Police Captain Michael Bauer says 27-year-old Brent Felber was arrested for driving under the influence after a minor accident in the Casey’s parking lot at 1020 Benjamin Avenue. He was taken to the Norfolk City Jail and later released on a cash bond. At 11:25, Bauer says officers were called to the 1100 block of Koenigstein where several people had reported an injury accident. 19-year-old Diego Garcia was arrested for driving under the influence and willful reckless driving. Bauer says Garcia’s eastbound bottomed out in the intersection of 12th and Koenigstein, side-swiped a car belonging to Michelle Arends and then struck a second vehicle owned by Christopher Miller. Garcia was taken to Faith Regional Health Services for treatment of injuries and released on a personal recognizance bond.
