Two Arrested in Stanton County Theft Cases
STANTON - Two Norfolk men have been arrested in unrelated theft cases in Stanton County. Sheriff Mike Unger says Michael Randles, 21, was arrested following an investigation into property missing from a residence just east of Norfolk. Some of the stolen property was recovered at a Norfolk location. In a separate case, Unger says Chad Heffner, 40, was arrested for allegedly stealing an antique tractor from a rural location southeast of Stanton. The tractor was recovered from a Norfolk business where it had been sold for cash. Unger reports that Randles is being held in the Madison County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court later this week. Heffner faces theft and trespassing charges and is scheduled to appear in Stanton County Court in October.
