Two Arrested In Norfolk Walmart Thefts

NORFOLK - Two people face felony theft charges for allegedly taking two laptop computers and a vacuum cleaner from the Norfolk Walmart during incidents that date back to June. Norfolk Police Captain Leon Chapman says Robert McDermott, 58, of Lincoln and Patricia Buol were arrested around 9:00 Wednesday night after they tried to take a $548-dollar laptop. He says McDermott was actually able to get a cash refund of $267 dollars for the theft of the vacuum. Both are in the Madison County Jail. They also face a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
