Two Arrested for Separate Financial Crimes

NORFOLK - Norfolk police made two arrests this week for financial crimes - one for employee theft and another for forging checks. Police Captain Mike Bauer reports that Jesse Hinkel, 21, of Wayne was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing about $1200 from her employer, Herberger's Department Store in the Sunset Plaza Mall. Bauer says regional loss prevention staff at Herbergers had caught Hinkel on camera making fraudulent Herberger's credit card payment transactions at the cash registers. Also arrested Wednesday was Robert McFall, 19, of Norfolk. Bauer says he is accused of stealing a checkbook earlier this year and writing checks to individuals in exchange for cash. He was arrested for second degree forgery. Both Hinkel and McFall were taken to the Norfolk City Jail before being transferred to the Madison County Jail.
