Two Arrested for Drugs, Child Abuse
NORFOLK - Two people have been arrested in Norfolk on drug charges and also for child abuse. Norfolk Police Captain Michael Bauer reports that Sheryl Casas, 34, of 110 Goldstrike Apartment Number 6, and Wendell Hearn, 51, were arrested yesterday, following a report that children in their home were not adequately supervised. Bauer says both Casas and Hearn had been involved in controlled drug purchases arranged by the SNARE Drug Taskforce. Casas was arrested in her apartment on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and cited for child abuse. The children in the home were placed with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Hearn was arrested later at his place of employment on four counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
