Two Affordable Care Act Lunch-and-Learns This Week
NORFOLK - A pair of lunch-and-learn type seminars are scheduled for Norfolk this week to help take the mystery out of the Affordable Care Act, often known as Obamacare. The first is sponsored the U-S Small Business Administration and is slated for Valentino’s on South 13th Street Tuesday afternoon beginning at noon. A representative from the SBA will be on hand to explain how the Affordable Care Act includes a variety of measures specifically for small businesses that help lower premium cost growth and increase access to quality, affordable health insurance. To register, call Monica Rotherham at the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce at (402) 371-4862.
Another seminar entitled “Understanding Healthcare Reform in 2014 and Beyond” is set for Northeast Community College’s Lifelong Learning Center Thursday from 10 to 1. It’s aimed at business leaders whose organizations have less than 50 employees. The panel will include an attorney, an insurance agent, an employee benefits specialist and a tax accountant. Registration is required and you may do so by calling (402) 844-7000.
