Three Meth Arrests in Norfolk over Weekend

NORFOLK - Norfolk police arrested three individuals on charges of possession of methamphetamine over the weekend. Police Captain Mike Bauer says the first arrest occurred at 12:49 Friday afternoon when Leone Bussey was arrested near 7th Street and Madison Avenue. Bussey was arrested for driving under suspension and possession of meth. Friday evening, police arrested 62-year-old Glenda Legate at 1004 Koenigstein Avenue on an outstanding Madison County warrant for five counts of possession with intent to deliver an exceptionally hazardous drug. During a search, jail staff located a crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, and Legate was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.  On Sunday evening, Bauer says a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Indiana Avenue led to the arrest of 23-year-old Martha Minnieweather for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension. All three suspects were taken to the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
