Technology Updates Will Challenge School

NORFOLK - Several challenges will face the Norfolk Public School Board of Education in the next few years - including a tight budget and searching for a replacement for retiring superintendent Dr. Marlene Uhing. Sandy Wolfe, one of three challengers seeking a seat on the board, says another challenge will be keeping up with technology. Clark Froehlich, the current president of the School Board, says some technology upgrades are being driven by mandates from the state and federal governments. Other incumbents in the school board contest are Alfredo Ramirez and Joel Carlson. Challengers, in addition to Wolfe, are Bob Waite and Arnie Robinson. Three of the six candidates will be elected.
