Tax Revenue Slightly Better Than Expected

LINCOLN (AP) - Nebraska collected a little bit more tax revenue than expected in September, but figures for the first quarter of the fiscal year are just below what was predicted. The state Department of Revenue released the latest figures on Tuesday. Net tax collections in September totaled $352.2 million. That's about 1 percent above the forecast of $348.1 million. Through the first three months of the fiscal year Nebraska has collected $880.7 million in net tax receipts. That's about 1 percent below the predicted $888.5 million.
