"Stuff the Bus" school-supply campaign set to begin

NORFOLK - The Norfolk Council for Family Empowerment is already thinking "Back to School."  Members want to make sure all studnets have the school supplies they need.  Many families have trouble paying for school supplies, so the coucil asks you to purchase pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, crayons and other school-related items.  These supplies can be left in yellow "Stuff the Bus" boxes located in several Norfolk locations.  Items can also be taken to the Salvation Army at 7th and Norfolk Avenue, or brought to Wal-Mart, Shopko or the Sunset Plaza August 3rd where a real school bus will be stuffed with supplies.  Backpacks and cash are also needed for the campaign.  Families who need assistance are asked to call the Salvation Army at (402) 379-4663.
