Storm Causes Power Outages

STANTON - Approximately 1,150 customers lost power early this morning across Stanton County after a strong storm with over 70 mile per hour winds hit the region. Stanton County Public Power District Operations Manager Bruce Hoehne tells WJAG NEWS flying tree debris hit a transmission line, knocking out three substations for three-to-four hours depending on the location. The City of Osmond also had power out there for a time this morning. There were also numerous tree limbs down in Osmond -- some eight inches in diameter.
