State Senate Candidate Pleads to Misdemeanor False Filling

STANTON - A candidate for the 19th District Legislative position has entered a no contest plea to misdemeanor false candidate filing and been fined $1000. William Goodpasture was sentenced Monday in Stanton County District Court. He resigned his position on the Stanton County Board of Commissioners during the investigation into his residence. In another Stanton County case, Connie Books Mandl, 38, of Stanton was sentenced to 60 days in jail for her involvement with aiding a man wanted in connection with a Valentine's Day shooting in Norfolk.
