State Patrol Trooper Hope New Driving Simulator Helps Save Teen Lives

NORFOLK - The Nebraska State Patrol’s Troop B has a new tool officers hope will help save the lives of young drivers by providing them practical driving experiences before they get behind the wheel.  Trooper Bill Price says the new driving simulator has three screens, a steering wheel, pedals, car seats, seatbelts, and allows for physical driving.  Price will be taking the device to area schools.  He says the 16-to-25 age group is the one most likely to be involved in a fatal traffic accident.  Price says the $20,000 driving simulator and trailer that will be used to transport it, are courtesy of State Farm Insurance.  If you’d like Trooper Price to bring the driving simulator to your school, call (402) 370-3456.
