State Patrol Investigator Honored
NORFOLK - The Northeast Nebraska Child Advocacy Center has presented a member of the Nebraska State Patrol with its "In the Spirit of Children" Award. The award honors LB 1184 Child Abuse and Neglect Team Members who have contributed to the welfare of children by providing exemplary service to children in the investigation and treatment of child abuse and neglect. Jeremy Hampton has been working with the Patrol since 2003 and began investigations in January 2007. On the nomination form, Hampton was described as an individual who is "willing to give it his all for the safety of children and the worker he is assisting." Since the center opened in September 2004, it has had over 1,500 referrals for adults and children.
