Stanton man, woman in federal court system
STANTON - Two Stanton residents who were arrested in January are making their way through federal court on Felony drug conspiracy charges. They’re accused of drug possession and trafficking. Courtney Sieber, 27 and David Codina, 33, were arrested by the Stanton County Sheriff’s office and the SNARE drug task force at a residence in Stanton and later indicted in federal court. A search warrant was also served at the Stanton location and methamphetamine, a large amount of cash and two handguns were recovered during that search. Sieber has already entered a guilty plea to her charges and will be sentenced later this year. Codina is making his way through the system after a court hearing last week confirmed the search was legal. He faces trial early next year. Both defendants remain in federal custody.
