Stanton County Sheriff's Office Assists Indiana Law Enforcement
STANTON- The Stanton County Sheriff’s office assisted law enforcement officers from New Albany and Floyd County , Indiana in processing a vehicle located in Stanton County. Sheriff Mike Unger says the vehicle is believed to have been used in two homicides in Indiana in 2002 and was located in Stanton County after a national search. The current owner purchased the vehicle from an out-of-state dealership, and was unaware that it had possible ties to an Indiana serial killer. The vehicle was positively linked to William Clyde Gibson, 54, who is currently being held in Indiana on several charges of first-degree murder. The vehicle was processed at the Woodland Park fire station.
