The Houston Texans made South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney the first pick in the NFL draft. Now they're hoping he fares better than the last guy they took at No. 1 which was quarterback David Carr in 2002, who never lived up to his pre-draft billing. Considered a budding NFL star even when he was a freshman, Clowney brings size, speed and power to a Texans lineup that already has 2012 NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt. Texas A&M star quarterback Johnny Manziel dropped to Cleveland with the 22nd pick.
