Shakeups for Lutheran High Northeast coaching staff
Lutheran High Northeast has some shakeups in their coaching staff. Girls basketball coach Shannon Pospisil has resigned and Darin Suckstorf has taken the reins. Pospisil just completed his twelfth year as head coach. Last year’s squad finished 11-14. Pospisil’s record at the school was 165-112. He coached the team to a state runner-up finish and three state tournament appearances. Suckstorf, who is also the head football coach, has coached girls basketball at Columbus Lakeview for two seasons from 2005-2007. His coaching record was 22-17.
The school also announced that wrestling coach Henry Aschoff has resigned and former Eagle wrestler Jesse Peters has accepted the coaching position. Aschoff, who just completed his eighth season with the school, coached 18 state qualifiers during his tenure. He coached four runner-ups, a third place, two fourth place, and three fifth place medalists. Peters was an assistant coach at Omaha Burke the last three years. He graduated from Lutheran High Northeast in 2008.
