Northeast Hawks volleyball recruits now at six
Northeast Community College has signed two more volleyball recruits to its newly reinstated program. Kirsten Fink of Randolph and Stanton’s Kennedy Cheyney have signed letters of commitment to play next fall. Fink averaged 13.2 kills and 3.5 blocks per match as a senior. Cheyney averaged 24.5 digs a game and had a .885 percent serve reception as a libero. Northeast has already signed Overton’s Grace Ecklund, Allen’s Brittany Sullivan, Nazya Thies of Winside, and Sarah Maxson of Wayne. The college has reinstated volleyball after the program was disbanded in 2002-2003 with Amanda Schultze being named as the head coach.
