Norfolk High football players sign letter of intents
The Norfolk Panther football team had four players sign letters of intent to continue their college careers. Quarterback Taylor Reedy and wide receiver Jacob Hjorth signed with Wayne State. Reedy, is the All-time Norfolk High passing record holder, throwing for 4128 yards and 35 touchdowns. Hjorth caught 72 balls for 852 yards and 13 touchdowns a year ago. He is the Panther all-time reception leader in a career with 140, yards receiving with 1683, receptions for a season with 72, and receiving yards with 852. Running back Hayden Johnson will play football next year for Midland College in Fremont. He ran for 888 yards and twelve scores a year ago. Johnson is the career leader for carries with 395 and yards rushing with 2169. Defensive lineman Kyle Temple signed with Chadron State. He had 55 tackles a year ago with 11.5 sacks, and an interception. Temple holds the season record for sacks, tackles for loss, hurries, and fumble recoveries. He also holds the career record for sacks with 23. Temple also operated as the kicker and holds the career & season record of consecutive extra point kicks & PAT percentage. Norfolk High finished last year with a 5-4 record.
