Norfolk Catholic volleyball coach Gail Borgmann steps down
Norfolk Catholic volleyball coach Gail Borgmann has stepped down. Borgmann’s action was based on family reasons and no decision has been made at this time on who will coach next year. She was the head coach for 13 years at the school and compiled a 251-84 record for a .749 win percentage. This past season, the Lady Knights finished 28-3, falling in the opening round of the State Tournament to Lincoln Christian. Borgmann was the head coach from 1982-84 and resumed her position in 2003. Her teams reached the state tournament five times, reaching the state semifinals on two occasions. Borgmann was an assistant coach for 14 years as well.
