Nebraska Lawdawgs football team advances to UNFL Bowl I

The Nebraska Lawdawg football team has advanced to the United National Football League Bowl I.  The Norfolk-based Lawdawgs hammered the Kansas City Panthers last Saturday night at the Norfolk Middle School Field 40-9.  Chuck Wright threw three touchdown passes to Steven Rush and defensive lineman Chris Bradford had two fumble recoveries for scores in the win.  Bradford returned a fumble 46 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter and a 97 yard fumble recovery for a score in the fourth quarter.  Wright finished 18-27 for 235 yards and three touchdowns in the win.  He was intercepted once.  The Lawdawgs totaled 339 yards of offense while Kansas City mustered only 202.  The Lawdawgs led at halftime 26-9.  They are now 9-1 on the season and will host the Quad Cities Wolfpack of Iowa in the UNFL Bowl I on Saturday, November 23rd.  The Lawdawgs beat the Wolfpack earlier this season 27-14 on September 14.
