Nebraska Amateur Championship wraps up at Norfolk Country Club

David Clouse of Friend stepped on the gas pedal and never looked back during today's final round of the 106th Nebraska Amateur Championship at Norfolk Country Club.  He fired the round of the championship, a 6-under 66, to win his second title by seven strokes with a 275 (-13) total.  At age 54, Clouse, also the 1999 Champion, becomes the oldest winner, surpassing Tom Olson of Omaha who won in 1997 at age 51.  Rylee Reinertson of Gibbon finished eagle-par-birdie on his final three holes, part of a back nine 31 (-5), to claim Runner-Up honors, along with Low Junior Amateur honors with a 282 (-6). Wayne’s Joey Baldwin tied for seventh at 290.  Brunswick’s Sam Meuret & O’Neill’s Kris Koelzer tied for tenth at 291.  Norfolk’s Lance Morrow & Lance Lawson both shot 292.  Columbus’ Nathan Fuerhoff totaled 300, Columbus’ Brady Vancura carded a 302, and Schuyler’s Clint Kracl shot 308.
