Battle Creek named Andrew Carlson as new football coach

Battle Creek has named Andrew Carlson as their new head football coach.  He replaces Greg Wemhoff.  Carlson served as defensive coordinator for the program for three years and was on the coaching staff for seven years total.  He played college football at Midland Lutheran University.  Carlson also is the track & field coach for the school.  Wemhoff finished with a 53-46 record in eleven years as head coach.  Battle Creek will compete in Class “C-2” next year with home games against Laurel/Concord/Coleridge, Wakefield, West Holt, and Crofton.  They will visit Ponca, Oakland/Craig, Hartington Cedar Catholic, and Lutheran High Northeast.
