Services Set for Feedlot Operator Killed in Monday Accident
NORFOLK - Funeral services will be held Saturday morning in Norfolk for a 53-year-old man killed Monday in an accident at a local feedlot. Matt Winklebauer was killed when he was struck and buried by a large falling silage pile in an open silage pit at Four Quarters feedlot east of Norfolk. He was the owner/operator of Four Quarters, which is located about three miles east of Norfolk off Highway 24. Another man, 60-year-old Weldon Marotz Jr., was seriously injured in the incident and taken by medical helicopter to an Omaha hospital. Services for Winkelbauer will be held at 10:30 Saturday morning at Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for Matt Winkelbauer will be Friday from 3 until 8 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
