September is Suicide Prevention Month

UNDATED - September is Suicide Prevention Month, and the American Journal of Public Health is reporting that more people commit suicide than die in car crashes each year. The same study points to previous research that showed suicide rates go up during times of economic crisis - the number of suicides also spiked during the Great Depression. The recent report shows a 25% decrease in the number of deadly car accidents, but a 15% increase in suicide.
