Sen. Flood Supports Norfolk Area United Way

NORFOLK - Norfolk State Senator Mike Flood helped kick off the 2013 Norfolk Area United Way General Campaign today, talking about the importance of early childhood education. Flood says investments in early childhood education pay off. At the kickoff meeting, Verle Crandall was honored with the Marlene Ahrenholtz Memorial Spirit of Volunteerism Award. Pacesetter Division Chairman Jim Bradford Junior urged to volunteers to start making their calls immediately, and to use the personal approach. He says fundraising is all about relationships and simply asking for the donation. The next report meeting for the general campaign will be Wednesday, September 26th at noon in the Lifelong Learning Center.
