Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign Raises Funds All Year
NORFOLK - A little cold weather won’t stop the Salvation Army bell ringers from manning their red kettles at several Norfolk locations this week. Bell ringers are on duty from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Salvation Army Captain R.C. Duskin says the money raised through the Red Kettle Campaign helps fill food boxes and buy food for the soup kitchen. It also helps fund rent and utility assistance all year and help with general expenses at the Salvation Army. Duskin says more volunteer bell ringers are always needed, and any individual or service organization interested in volunteering should contact him.
