Rural Residents Urged to Protect Their Property

Rural residents are being urged to protect their property in the wake of some daytime burglaries northwest of Norfolk. Nebraska State Patrol Lieutenant Steve Terry also asks residents to be watchful of their neighborhoods. He says it is a good idea to "trust your gut." Terry warns residents that they should NOT approach or confront suspicious vehicles or people. That is a job better left to trained law enforcement officers. Residents are also urged to record serial numbers on valuable items, or have some other way to identify them if they are stolen.
