Renovations Continue at TaHaZouka Park
NORFOLK - Everyone is talking about the work at Norfolk's Veterans Memorial Park, where artificial turf is being installed and work has begun on the new aquatic facility. But another Norfolk park is also receiving a facelift this summer. Parks Director Pat Mrsny says about 1000 feet of old asphalt roadway in TaHaZouka Park has been replaced, and crews are now working on the campgrounds, taking out the old bath house, electrical outlets, lights, and some trees. Mrsny is hopeful that campgrounds will be open by fall, but says it could be spring before all the work is completed and the dirt work has settled. In the meantime, Jerry's Campers on South Highway 81 is collecting information on available camping spots and directing campers to those areas.
