Red Cross Urges Blood Donors to Step Forward

OMAHA - The American Red Cross is in need of your help. April Oppliger is the spokesperson for the Nebraska-Southwest Iowa Region and says the weather caused the cancellation of many blood drives and they ask that donors step forward to help now.  Oppliger says many blood drives were cancelled and that they're 9,000 units short.  The Red Cross is especially in need of O-positive, O-negative, B-negative and A-negative blood types. Call 1-800-RED CROSS to make an appointment.  Norfolk's Red Cross Blood Station is located at 2612 W. Norfolk Ave.
