The Portland Trail Blazers are still alive in the NBA playoffs.  Damian Lillard scored twelve of his game-high 32 points in the fourth quarter as the Blazers rallied to beat Memphis 99-92 and avoid a four-game sweep by Memphis.  LaMarcus Aldridge and C.J. McCollum each added 18 for Portland.  Memphis was playing without point guard Mike Conley.  He was inadvertently elbowed in the face in the third quarter of Game Three and underwent surgery yesterday.  His status for the rest of the playoffs is uncertain.  Game Five is Wednesday in Memphis.

The Milwaukee Bucks cut Chicago's series lead to 3-2 by beating the Bulls 94-88 at Chicago.  Michael Carter-Williams had 22 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.  The series now moves back to Milwaukee where the Bucks could tie it with a victory Thursday night.

The Brooklyn Nets beat top-seeded Atlanta with a 120-115 overtime victory that squares that series 2-2.  Deron Williams rebounded from two dismal games with 35 points and Brook Lopez added 25 points and ten rebounds.

Creighton men’s basketball coach Greg McDermott might be in the market for a new assistant coach.  CBSSports reported yesterday that Patrick Sellers, who has been on McDermott's staff the past two seasons, will take a similar position at DePaul.  McDermott declined comment last night, saying nothing is official.  DePaul, which hired head coach Dave Leitao in March, also has not confirmed the move.  Sellers came to Creighton in 2013 from Hofstra.

The Norfolk High girls tennis team participated in yesterday’s Millard West Invitational.  The Lady Panthers placed 14th in the 16-team event.  Omaha Skutt was the champion with 92 points.  They won by six points.  Malia Gass (#1 Singles) & Hannah Matthies (#2 Singles) went 2-2 on the day.  Jenna Jochum & Maddy Buettner (#1 Doubles) and Mariah Yagow & Elise Ehlers (#2 Doubles) sported a 1-3 record on the day.

A 27-year-old Plainview man was killed Friday night in a motorcycle crash near Battle Creek. Madison County Sheriff Vern Hjorth says Kervin Hilpipre was eastbound on Highway 275 at a high rate of speed about 11:15 Friday night when he lost control of his motorcycle, was thrown off and hit a guardrail about a mile-and-a-half-east of the junction of Highways 275 and 121. Hjorth believes Hilpipre was killed instantly. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash.

A competency evaluation has been ordered after a courtroom rant by a Norfolk woman charged with trying to burn down a mobile home in Norfolk last October.  Twenty-seven-year-old Cassie Zoubek represented herself Monday at a Madison County District Court hearing on pretrial motions. Zoubek already has pleaded not guilty to an arson charge, but she told Judge James Kube that she was going to plead guilty to that charge and to one of being a habitual criminal. Zoubek then ranted about what she said was a corrupt court system. Madison County Attorney Joe Smith then asked Kube to order a competency evaluation for Zoubek. The judge granted the request.
