There's going to be a Game 7 in the Boston-Philadelphia Eastern Conference semifinal.  The 76ers made sure of that with a 82-75 victory at home over the Celtics to knot the series at three games apiece.  Jrue Holiday led the Sixers with 20.  Elton Brand added 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Paul Pierce led all scorers with 24 for Boston.  Game 7 is Saturday night in Boston.  The Celtics are 17-4 all-time in Game 7's at home.

Just months after reaching agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement with the NFL, the NFL Players Association has filed a complaint in federal court accusing the league of colluding to impose a secret salary cap during the uncapped 2010 season.  The motion claims the move cost the players at least $1 billion.  The claim was filed in U.S. District Court in Minnesota.  The complaint claims a "conspiracy" to set a $123 million salary cap for the 2010 season, when owners did not have the legal authority to do so.  The Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins have had their future salary caps lowered for going over the limit in 2010.  The league says the union has no grounds for the action and is prohibited from filing it by the collective bargaining agreement.  An NFL spokesman called the lawsuit "totally unfounded."

News Briefs:

A cold front that triggered thunderstorms across mid America Wednesday night will drift to the southeast into eastern Iowa and northern Missouri by this afternoon. Meanwhile, an upper level low pressure system will swing into the northern Plains. This combination of weather features will bring showers and thunderstorms to much of mid America through tonight. Most of Nebraska, South Dakota and Iowa can expect off and on showers and occasional rumbles of thunder much of the day. Just under an inch of rain fell overnight at the WJAG studios in downtown Norfolk.

Some Keystone XL pipeline opponents have followed through on a threat to challenge Nebraska's new pipeline siting law in court. Several landowners along the route say the siting law doesn't allow for judicial review and doesn't spell out what criteria should be considered when a proposed pipeline is being evaluated.

Favorable weather has allowed for continued progress on the reconstruction of Norfolk's 25th Street. Public Works Director Dennis Smith says both lanes of 25th Street have been poured from Taylor to Westside Avenues, utility work is underway at the intersection with Norfolk Avenue, and the south abutment at the bridge at Skyview Lake is complete.

The Norfolk City Council this week set fees for season passes for those using Norfolk's new Aqua Venture Water Park. For the abbreviated first season, it will be $60 for kids 5-to-15 and those 55 and up; $70 for those 16-to-54 and $150 for a family. The City's Sheila Schukei admits with the newness of it all, it will probably be a bit chaotic during the park's first few weeks -- and she asks for patience from the public. AquaVenture is expected to open later next month.

An 18-year-old Norfolk youth has once again set up a Field of Flags at his family's home to honor servicemen and women killed since the terrorist attacks of September 11th. Thomas Landkamer's tribute can been seen from dawn to dusk at 804 N. Birch through Memorial Day.
