Public Asked to Watch for Presbyterian Historical Records
NORFOLK - The public's assistance is being requested to recover historical records stolen recently from First Presbyterian Church in Norfolk. The Reverend Kathy Keener-Han, interim pastor at First Presbyterian, says the items were in a safe stolen January 13th from the church. Keener-Han says they are antique ledgers or minute books and of no value to anyone except members of First Presbyterian. The binders are described as volumes in maroon and khaki leather or canvas bindings. They hold the early records of the ministry of the church and cannot be replaced. Keener-Han says they may turn up in a ditch or alley, in a culvert or dumpster. Anyone who locates any of these records is asked to turn them in to either First Presbyterian Church at 10th and Madison Avenue, or the Norfolk Police Division.
