Police arrest Norfolk man for sexual assault

NORFOLK - Late last month, Norfolk Police responded to the report of a sexual assault. The adult male victim, who has Down's Syndrome, indicated that he had a minor injury to his "private part." The victim told officers that a man named Richard Strenge was responsible for the injury and described the sexual contact. The victim was interviewed and examined at the Northeast Nebraska Child Advocacy Center. Detectives investigated and interviewed Strenge, age 63 of Norfolk. Following the investigation, Strenge was placed under arrest yesterday (Tuesday), for 1st Degree Sexual Assault, housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
