Permanent Med Returns offered in two Northeast Nebraska cities
NORFOLK - Citizens looking to dispose of excess and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications can now visit the safe and secure permanent drop locations at either the Norfolk or West Point police departments. There is a posted list by the Med Return boxes of what is and is not accepted. Drugs can be in their original containers or repackaged in a plastic bag. There is no charge for the service. The Med Return box will be accessible at the Norfolk Police Division 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week. In West Point, the police department lobby is open from 9 to 5 Monday through Friday.
