People With Area Ties Die In B&B Fire

HARTINGTON - Two men with ties to northeast Nebraska are among six victims of a fire over the weekend at a bed and breakfast in New Ulm, Minnesota. Channel 9 Eyewitness News reports Andy Uhing was a bus driver for Hartington Public Schools for 30-years. Joe Bergman, who moved from Hartington 20-years ago, still had strong ties to the community. The Norfolk Daily News quotes family and friends that Bergman's wife, Diane, was another victim. The owner of the "Bohemian Bed and Breakfast" in New Ulm and two of her daughters also died in the blaze. Investigators continue to look into the cause of the fire.
