Orphan Grain Train Needs Volunteers Today, Friday
NORFOLK - Volunteers are needed today and tomorrow at the Orphan Grain Train Warehouse to help organize clean up supplies for Minot, North Dakota. Grain Train Director of Public Relations Jana Inglehart says volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. both days to help count, sort and load Project Scrub Bucket items to help those in Minot as the flood waters begin to recede. Inglehart says Project Scrub Bucket items are still needed as well. Items used for the project include 5-gallon buckets, Lysol or other liquid cleaner, gallon-size bleach, Windex or other glass cleaner, scrub brushes, rubber gloves, paper towels, brooms, mops and Comet or other cleansing powder. Cash donations are also needed to cover the cost of transportation. For those wishing to volunteer or drop off supplies, the Orphan Grain Train Warehouse is located at 601 West Phillip Avenue in Norfolk. Monetary donations can be mailed to Flood and Storm Relief, Post Office Box 1466, Norfolk - 68702.
