NRD Board Votes on Groundwater Rules Thursday
NORFOLK - The final vote will be taken tonight on proposed rules and regulations to deal with seasonal declines in groundwater levels in the Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District. The NRD Board of Directors will take up the issue at its regular meeting at 7:30 tonight in the Lifelong Learning Center at Northeast Community College. The board agenda includes review of testimony from the January 17th public hearing, consideration of staff recommendations for the rules and regulations and designation of four sub-areas for management in Pierce, Wayne and Madison Counties.
