Northeast College, Nucor Honored for Collaboration
NORFOLK - The collaboration between Northeast Community College and Nucor Corporation has been recognized on a national level. Northeast has been selected as a finalist for the 2013 American Association of Community Colleges Awards of Excellence in the Outstanding College/Corporate Partnership category. One of the products of the collaboration between Northeast and Nucor is the Nucor Detailing Center and the expanded drafting program at Northeast. Another involves a partnership between Northeast and the South Dakota School of Mines to train engineers needed by the local steel industry.
