Norfolk's Battle Of The Badges

NORFOLK - Members of the Norfolk Fire and Police Divisions asked you to "lend an arm" in their "Battle of the Badges" blood drive. City Fire Marshal Terry Zwiebel says all eligible donors were welcome to give blood during today's drive. The division that recruits the most donors wins a trophy and bragging rights. He tells WJAG NEWS the need for blood in the summer months increases while donations are slow. Zwiebel says one unit of blood can help up to five people. The "Battle of the Badges" Blood Drive was held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at First Station One at 701 Koenigstein Avenue.
