Norfolk Woman Faces DUI, 6 Other Charges

NORFOLK - A 41-year-old Norfolk woman faces seven charges after her arrest late last night by Norfolk Police officers. Chief Bill Mizner reports that Audrey Kirby was stopped about 11:45 last night when an officer observed her pickup cross the dividing line in the 1200 block of West Benjamin Avenue. At the time of the stop, Kirby had a five-year-old child in the vehicle. Mizner says Kirby attempted to kick and bite officers, and was arrested for first offense driving under the influence of alcohol, resisting arrest, possession of methamphetamine, possession of oxycodone, child abuse, refusal to submit to a preliminary breath test and refusal to submit to a chemical test after arrest.
