Norfolk Public Graduates Score High on ACT

NORFOLK - Norfolk Senior High graduates continue to improve their scores on the ACT – outscoring local students from the year before and their peers across the state. Norfolk Public Schools Director of Teaching and Learning Beth Nelson says 2013 graduates had an average composite score of 22.9, compared to a statewide average of 21.5. Nelson says last year’s graduates had a composite score of 22.5. Nelson says besides indicating that Norfolk students are graduating with the skills needed to succeed in college, the higher ACT scores also translate into more scholarship dollars.
