Norfolk Ordinance Would Target Cul-de-Sacs

NORFOLK - The Norfolk City Council has given initial approval to an ordinance that targets cul-de-sacs -- three in particular in a neighborhood where homes were built when residents had only one car. The Council took action after receiving a complaint from a homeowner on 20th Drive where vehicles have been parking in the middle of the circle, killing the grass. Police Chief Bill Mizner says the ordinance would require that people no longer park their cars or trucks in the inner portion or non-paved areas of cul-de-sacs. The ordinance passed on first reading Monday night 7-0.
