Norfolk Man Accused of Lying to Officers

NORFOLK - A 20-year-old Norfolk man has been arrested on several charges after lying to police about his identity. Police Captain Leon Chapman says Randy BlackTailDeer was questioned in connection with a shoplifting and vehicle damage incidents that occurred on July 6th. At that time, he told officers his first name was Timothy but he had no ID with him. Officers later discovered BlackTailDeer's true identity. He was arrested Wednesday on an unrelated Madison County Warrant, criminal impersonation, theft by shoplifting, criminal mischief, an open container violation and being a minor in possession of alcohol. BlackTailDeer was held in the Norfolk City Jail overnight and transferred to the Madison County Jail early this morning.
